Why Should I Go To The University.
WHY SHOULD I GO TO THE UNIVERSITY
Why should I go to university? This is one question that has been asked for ages. Now, let’s see several reasons why going to university is important.
It is a popular belief that all that is needed for any individual is basic education which should end at high school or secondary school as it is called in your country.
But the truth is, earning a university or college degree is an important step in life, both personally and professionally.
When you consider the financial, social and cultural benefits of having higher education, you will see how a college degree can make a difference in your life and career.
Going to college is a choice but looking at statistics or the benefits of having a degree, no one should be exempted from going to school.
University education/degree is important for many reasons, including long-term financial gain, job stability, career satisfaction and success outside of the workplace.
WHY SHOULD I GO TO THE UNIVERSITY
There are a lot of reasons why you should go to university but let’s look at a few.
1) EARN MORE MONEY
This is obviously visible, even though we live in a world where “connection” is gradually becoming more relevant than qualification, but on average, people with a university degree earn more than people with a high school degree.
Of course, your earning potential even with a college degree varies by field and specific career, but on an average scale, people that went to college earn more.

You will agree with me that even in your very own company if you were to employ people, you wouldn’t pay someone with a college degree same amount with someone with a high school certificate because their level of education is way different.
2) HAVE MORE CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Earning a college degree is one of the smartest ways to increase career success.
Employment opportunities are narrowed for those who only hold a high school certificate.
Many jobs require professionals/college degrees.
There are lots of jobs out there that without knowledge in a specific field, you will never have.
Some jobs are reserved for the learned. College graduates have skills that qualify them for a wide range of career opportunities.
They have more opportunity to choose from a list of jobs and also with a higher pay consideration than someone with a high school certificate.
Furthermore, in today’s world, what is required is just a college degree. It doesn’t matter what you study in school anymore, with the right “connection,” you can have any job.
3) MAKE FRIENDS
In today’s world, especially when you live in a developing country where there are more unemployed qualified people, you need friends.
Your qualification may not be able to land you that job you are qualified for if your “connection” is not a strong one.
One good importance of going to college is to make solid “connections,” you shouldn’t joke with this in your college days.
4) START AFRESH OR START A GOOD TRADITION
Sometimes you just need a fresh start in life or start a good tradition.
When you go to college and have a college degree, your children are likely to live with that tradition of going to school.
Sometimes, you may just be getting frustrated of who you are now and the level of knowledge that you have and a college degree may just be what you need to have a fresh start and be what you were meant to be.
College is the perfect opportunity to break out of that old shell and become someone totally new.
5) IT GIVES RESPONSIBILITY AND MATURITY
In the process of obtaining a college degree, you become more and more responsible due to the strident training you will receive in college.
This training makes you mature in thinking and actions.
You are more trusted to be handed a responsibility than someone with just a school certificate.
Moreover, a college degree helps boost your confidence in society.
Going to college helps you specialize in a particular field or skill.
This has a huge bearing on your performers in that field and your chances of landing a good paying job in that field.
Someone with a secondary school certificate has not specialized in a field or skill. This professionalism is something you go to learn in college/university.
7) JOB SECURITY
Another benefit of earning a college degree is that you are likely to better job security.
And for some employers, the value of an educated workforce means that they will pay for employees’ tuition.
Moreover, data shows that college graduates are less likely to lose their jobs during an economic downturn.
8) JOB SATISFACTION
It is also true that college graduates often report higher job satisfaction than leavers.
Because you have studied a topic and course of interest to you, the chances are you will enjoy what you do and be happy with what you do.
Furthermore, because of some of the benefits explained above, such as higher pay and opportunities for growth, your job will also improve your quality of life.
9) EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS
Most jobs that require college degrees also provide more benefits and perks.
From health care and retirement investment to travel and community discounts, these benefits can make a vital difference in your life and that of your family.
These kinds of benefits are not customarily offered for the high school-level certificate holder. Perks like these are important for your family because they offer long-term stability.
Finally, going to University has far more benefit than not going. I would advise you to make effort to attend the university even if you have to take per time if you don’t have enough time that full-time school demands.
